The New Year festivities of Hogmanay in Pitlochry Scotland still evoke the traditions of the past with celebrations of friendship in the saying farewell to the old and hello to the new. The stunning surroundings, in their own right, bring a sense of occasion to any visit but hold a particular resonance at this time of year. On January 1st, Pitlochry hosts its very own street party and Ceilidh with hundreds of folk sharing the fun, the length of the High Street to the Gay Gordons and Dashing White Sergeant.
