A night at the theatre is a must when visiting Pitlochry. Known internationally as the “Theatre in the Hills”, Pitlochry Festival Theatre (PFT) is a focal point in Highland Perthshire life, offering a varied and exciting programme of events all year round.

Pitlochry Festival Theatre

The large performing arts theatre officially opened in 1951. It has since remained one of the most popular attractions in Pitlochry and is renowned as one of the best theatres in Perthshire. The Theatre’s summer season sees six different shows played throughout the week with both matinee and evening performances, which means you can stay for a few days and take in three or four different performances. Throughout the Autumn and Spring there are a varied mix of things to see from Plays to Musical entertainment there is always something to bring the crowds to Pitlochry.

Located near Scotlands Spa Hotel and across the bridge from Pitlochry town on the banks of Loch Faskally, the theatre offers stunning River views and has stunning greenery and seating around its grounds which is perfect on a Summers day for a scenic picnic.
