The evening begins at about 19:15 with the Vale of Atholl Junior Pipe Band marching down through the town from Fisher’s Hotel in the main street to the Recreation Ground where the gates open at 19:00 for both those on foot and for parking cars around the arena, where the show runs from about 19:30 to 21.00. Our guests will be entertained by Highland and Scottish Country Dancers, Scottish Singers and of course the Vale of Atholl Junior Pipe Band.
Pitlochry Highland Games have been hosting competitors and enthralling spectators since 1852Pipe Bands, Highland dancing, Tossing the Caber, Throwing the Hammer, Putting the Stone,Tug O' War, Track events, Massed ranks of all the pipe bands parade in front of Fishers Hotel. Why not join us next year for the highlight of every Scottish cyclists year, the Marie Curie Cancer Care Etape Caledonia. Riders aged between 18 and 80 will cycle an 81 mile circular route. The event is starting right outside the Fishers Hotel and covers some of the most scenic parts of Highland Perthshire.
Fisher's Hotel is at the heart of the Enchanted Forest, the magical annual sound and light show in Faskally Woods. The coach departure to the show leaves from the front of the hotel, and we offer great accommodation offers and family dining. The 2019 event will take place from 3rd October to 3rd November 2019.
Blair Atholl International Horse Trials and Country Fair is Scotland's leading equestrian event. From 22nd - 25th August 2019. Olympic medalists compete alongside amateurs in the four international show jumping event classes. The Bruader Country Fair runs along side the equestrian event on the Saturday and Sunday, it features displays of both traditional and more modern country pursuits.
New years day in Pitlochry is no sedate affair. The famous street party attracts visitors from around Scotland as well as locals and tourists. With music and dancing in the street from 1pm, what better way to start the year. The street Ceilidh takes place right outside Fisher's and closes the road to make way for the impromptu dance floor.
